Dear Dubai Metro

Happy Birthday

9 SEPTEMBER 2009

There may not be too many people who realise that the Dubai Metro is 10 years old on 9 September 2019. Since it opened various additional lines and stations have been added.

Built by The Al Ghurair Investment Group (a local Emirati owned company), the system is fully automated. When it first opened its doors to the general public, it was the longest driverless train network in the world however since then it has been surpassed by 2 others: Vancouver Sky Train and Singapore MRT.  The Red Line of Dubai Metro, however, remains the longest driverless single train route in the world.

Bringing more focussed content which we know is relevant to you and with Expo 2020 high on the agenda. Plan your holiday at the right time during Expo 2020 to coincide with your dreams. There’s so much to do and see. Our weekly newsletters will give you first-hand information regarding this amazing city as well as the surrounding countries. You might want to take a short flight to Oman, Bahrain or even Jordan. The Middle East has so much to offer.
